It’s never too late to build better habits. Our Adult Foundations program is designed for adult dogs who need to learn—or refresh—the essential skills that make everyday life together easier and more enjoyable.
Whether your dog never received formal training, has developed a few unwanted habits along the way, or simply needs more structure and consistency, we’ll meet them where they are and build from there. Training is individualized to your dog’s temperament, experience, and your goals as an owner.
Throughout the program, we’ll work on sit, down, place, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, impulse control, polite greetings, doorway and household manners, environmental neutrality, and cooperative handling, while helping you develop clearer communication and a stronger relationship with your dog.

Rescue & Adoption Transition Program
Bringing home a newly adopted or rescued dog is exciting, but it can also be an adjustment for everyone involved. New Beginnings is designed to help your new dog settle into their home, build trust with their family, and develop the skills they need to feel safe, confident, and successful in their new life.
Over 6 private lessons, we’ll focus on your individual dog’s needs while working through decompression, establishing routines, crate and potty habits, confidence building, household boundaries, introductions to family members and resident pets, leash skills, foundational obedience, settling, cooperative care, and appropriate exposure to the world around them.
Just as importantly, we’ll help you learn to read your new dog’s body language, understand their needs, and build a relationship without rushing the adjustment process. As your dog becomes more comfortable and their personality begins to emerge, training can be adapted to address new challenges and continue building positive habits.
The program also includes a 30-minute transition check-in for additional support during the adjustment period, along with individualized homework and guidance between lessons.

The first few months of your puppy’s life are about so much more than learning “sit.” Puppy Foundations is designed to help you build the communication, confidence, routines, and everyday skills your puppy needs to grow into a well-mannered and confident adult dog.
Over 6 private lessons, we’ll work through the most important parts of puppyhood, including potty training, crate training, puppy biting and chewing, name recognition and engagement, sit, down, place, come, stay foundations, loose-leash walking, cooperative care and handling, appropriate socialization, confidence building, settling, and early impulse control.
We’ll also help you navigate common puppy challenges at home and teach you how to continue training between sessions. Because every puppy develops at a different pace, training is tailored to your puppy’s age, temperament, confidence level, and individual needs—we’ll meet them where they are and build from there.
A major focus of this program is prevention. Rather than waiting for unwanted habits to become established, we'll help you create routines, boundaries, and positive experiences now that set your puppy up for success as they enter adolescence and adulthood.

For dogs ready to take their training to the next level
Advanced Obedience is designed for dogs who already understand their foundational skills but need greater reliability, focus, and control in real-world environments. This program takes the behaviors your dog already knows and builds the duration, distance, distraction, and responsiveness needed to make those skills truly useful in everyday life.
Over 8 private lessons, we’ll work on advanced recall, extended sit/down/place and stays, distance commands, advanced loose-leash walking, heel and switch, impulse control, environmental neutrality, emergency recall, handler engagement, and maintaining obedience around increasingly challenging distractions.
As your dog progresses, training moves beyond controlled environments and into appropriate real-world situations. The goal is to help your dog learn that the same expectations apply whether you're at home, walking through town, visiting a park, around other dogs and people, or exploring somewhere new.
We’ll also introduce and develop off-leash skills and reliability where appropriate and safe, while teaching you how to determine when your dog is truly ready for greater freedom. Rather than rushing to remove the leash, we build reliability progressively through distance, distraction, long-line work, and proofing.
Every dog progresses differently, so difficulty is increased according to your dog's individual ability—not simply because we've reached a certain lesson. We build the next level only when your dog is ready for it.

For dogs who know the basics but need help using them in everyday life
Knowing “sit” at home is one thing—being able to stay calm, focused, and responsive when life gets busy is another. Our Manners & Real-World Life Skills Program bridges the gap between basic obedience and the skills your dog needs to be an enjoyable, well-mannered companion in the real world.
Available as 4 or 6 private lessons, this program is customized around the situations that matter most to you and your dog. We’ll work on skills such as polite greetings, four paws on the floor, loose-leash walking, heel and switch, doorway manners, settling in public, impulse control, household boundaries, car manners, cooperative care, and preparation for vet or grooming visits.
We’ll also practice around appropriate real-world distractions, helping your dog learn that they don’t have to interact with every person, dog, sound, or activity they encounter. Instead, we’ll build confidence, neutrality, and the ability to stay connected with you in everyday situations.
Whether you want a dog who can calmly welcome guests, walk through town without dragging you down the sidewalk, relax beside you in public, or simply make daily life at home easier, we’ll focus on the skills that are most meaningful to your lifestyle.

For dogs 6 months to 2 years
The teenage stage can be challenging! As puppies grow into adolescents, increased independence, excitement, distractions, and testing boundaries can make it feel like all that early training suddenly disappeared. Adolescent Foundations is designed to help you navigate this stage with structure, consistency, and clear communication.
Over 8 private lessons, we’ll build on your dog’s existing skills while developing the reliability and self-control they need for everyday life. Training includes sit, down, place, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, impulse control, polite greetings, doorway and household manners, environmental neutrality, cooperative handling, and working around real-world distractions.
We’ll also address common adolescent challenges such as jumping, pulling, overexcitement, selective listening, difficulty settling, and increased interest in people, dogs, and the environment.
Every dog develops differently, so training is tailored to your dog’s temperament, maturity, current skill level, and your goals. We’ll meet your dog where they are and progressively build skills without expecting more than they're ready for.

Individualized support for complex behavior challenges
Behavior challenges are rarely as simple as a dog being “stubborn” or “bad.” Our Behavior Modification Program looks beyond the behavior itself to understand what is driving it and create a practical plan that helps both you and your dog move forward.
Designed for dogs struggling with concerns such as reactivity, aggression, fear and anxiety, resource guarding, territorial behavior, excessive barking, handling sensitivities, over-arousal, or other challenging behaviors, this program begins with an evaluation of your dog’s behavior, environment, triggers, history, and individual needs.
From there, we’ll develop a customized training and management plan focused on building confidence, improving communication, teaching alternative behaviors, managing triggers, developing coping skills, and creating safer, more successful responses in everyday situations. Training progresses at your dog’s individual pace, with an emphasis on working below threshold and building skills before increasing difficulty.
Just as importantly, you'll learn how to recognize your dog's body language, identify triggers and thresholds, respond appropriately to challenging situations, manage the environment, and confidently continue the training outside of our sessions.
Programs are available in 6, 8, or 10 private lessons, allowing us to choose the level of support appropriate for your dog's needs and behavioral goals.

Sometimes you don’t need an entire training program—you just need help with one specific challenge. Our Private Workshops are focused, hands-on sessions designed to give you practical tools, clear instruction, and an individualized plan for improving one particular skill.
Each workshop focuses on you and your dog, allowing us to work at your dog’s pace, troubleshoot the challenges you’re experiencing, and teach you how to continue practicing successfully at home.

Loose-Leash Walking Workshop — Build engagement, reduce pulling, improve leash communication, and make everyday walks more enjoyable.
Crate Training Reset — Establish or rebuild positive crate habits while addressing difficulty settling, resistance to entering, barking, and common crate-training challenges.
Puppy Potty Training Workshop — Create a realistic potty schedule and learn how to use supervision, confinement, timing, reinforcement, and management to help your puppy develop reliable house-training habits.
Polite Greetings Workshop — Work on jumping, overexcitement, impulse control, and appropriate ways to greet visitors and people encountered in everyday life.
Cooperative Care & Vet Prep Workshop — Help your dog become more comfortable with handling of the paws, ears, mouth and body while building skills for grooming, nail care, examinations, and future veterinary visits.
Each workshop includes an individualized take-home training plan so you know exactly what to practice after our session.
Private Workshops are best suited for focused training needs rather than significant aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, or complex fear/anxiety concerns. Dogs experiencing those challenges may be better served through our Behavior Modification Program.
